Squak Mountain (10 images)
Location: Off Front Street exit in Issaquah, take Front Street through town, just past the last light at 2nd Ave, right where Front Street turns into Issaquah Hobart Road turn west into Sycamore subdivision on Sycamore Drive SE. Stay right and then go right on SE Crystal Circle. At the end of the road you can park next to a road that leads up to the trailhead. Map.
Elevation Start/End: 500/2340 1800 foot overall elevation gain.
Length: 4.5 mile through hike
Trail Info: This hike begins on the east side of Squak Mountain up to the peak, then around by the Bullit fireplace and down to the Squak Moutain Mountainside subdivision. I saw no one on this entire hike. The top of Squak is a little lack luster as you have a very narrow measly view of downtown Seattle. I have read other's tale of a view but I didnt run across it. The trail winds up switch backs along the East Ridge Trail where there have been a ton of blow down trees. You can also see the chimney of the Bullit homestead sitting alone in the forest.
