I don’t know of a place with more amazing rock formations than Joshua Tree. And the rock is so primordial - granite crystals so big you can see them make strange shapes in the desert among the silhouettes of the Joshua Trees. Always worth getting up before the sun to see the way the world looks when it comes alive in the morning light.
