What I Do

I love working with smart people on hard problems. I have 30 years building and shipping software products at scale — from an e-commerce pioneer to a Director at Amazon. I bring a rare mix of engineering depth, product instinct, usability thinking, and program execution across global teams. For the last 10 years of my career, I did this through leading teams, hiring, promoting and creating a strong culture of ownership and execution that were focused on customer obsession and delivery — we shipped product via software that grew and supported extremely large businesses.

Strengths

  • Large org full software lifecycle and organizational leadership (~500 person orgs)
  • Global team building — Seattle, Beijing, India, Wales and across all Amazon marketplaces worldwide
  • Product strategy, roadmap ownership, and executive alignment
  • Distributed systems, service-oriented architecture, payments at scale
  • Usability, interaction design, and information architecture
  • Cross-functional program execution at Amazon scale
  • Engineering culture, recruiting, and team growth
