NOTES
Access to the Island is by Public Ferry or private boat. Campers should
check ferry schedules before reserving. Restricted ferry service during
winter months. Call 415-435-1915, option 2 for ferry information.
Register before sunset at the Ayala Cove kiosk or Ranger Staion.
Bring campstove or charcoal, no wood fires allowed. Pets, amplified
music and skateboards/skates are prohibited on the island.
Dock area and finger piers are closed at sunset. After sunset private
boats must anchor offshore or on mooring buoys in Ayala Cove. See Ranger
for night storage of personal dingy. Night travel on Island PROHIBITED
in some areas, for Park security and public safety.
THIS IS A BACK PACKING EXPERIENCE. Campers should be prepared to
carry all equipment up to 1.5 miles, some parts of it uphill.

Driving Directions:

16.6 miles (27 minutes)

21.7 miles (39 minutes)

take 4 to 80 west
take the Richmond Pkwy exit.
Follow Richmond Pkwy to 580 West.
After crossing the Richmond - San Rafael Bridge ($2 toll westbound, no toll eastbound), follow the signs to Sir Francis Drake Blvd / 101 South.
You will pass by the Larkspur ferry terminal on the left. Get on 101 South.
After about 2 miles, take the Mill Valley / Tiburon Exit, turn left over the overpass, and
follow Tiburon Blvd 4 miles into downtown Tiburon. Turn right on Main Street. The ferry is located on the left-hand side of the street.
